Yes, we are members of the Approved Workshop Scheme. This means we are approved to carry out habitation checks on motorhomes and caravans by their manufacturers to ensure your warranty remains in force. It also means our engineers are trained to industry leading standards.

The AWS stands for Approved Workshop Scheme; they ensure that engineers on their list meet the required qualifications and health & safety regulations to operate on behalf of UK manufacturers.

A habitation check will examine the safety of the feed to all appliances for example it will ensure that the gas/electric supply is successful and safe, it will check flame failure to ensure that if you forget to switch the hob top off and pop the lid the down the flame will go out and not cause a fire. It will also check that there are no gas leaks and that the ventilation is sufficient.

Yes, we check the water system, heating and boiler for any water leaks, we check for signs of water ingress using damp meters and we check seal of windows/doors/skylights.

We will advise you of any faults found along with the severity, our engineers can carry out some repairs if it something that requires major work we can point you in the right direction for a repair.

Appliances and plumbing within a motorhome are put under more strain than a house appliance, as they are exposed to extreme temperatures and movement. As a result, both gas and water leaks are commonplace.

Most motorhomes are kept outside either on a driveway, or a storage yard, extreme cold and heat can affect the sealant around roof lights/windows/garages etc which are prone to water ingress. If undetected water ingress can be extremely expensive as it is not always visual and result in a full side or back of a motorhome being replaces.
