Build a Service History With Habcheck

When you have an MOT or service on your car, you are building a history for the vehicle. Each event is recorded along with any remedial action required. When it comes time to sell, a comprehensive history is very important. It lets buyers see how the car has been maintained and what work has been done on the car. This is significant for a number of reasons. Firstly, it gives comfort. Transparency is very helpful when purchasing any high value used item. If a buyer feels they are seeing a true picture of the history of the vehicle it gives them confidence. It shows you aren't hiding anything. It also gives the buyer a clue as to whether they might be inheriting unattended to problems, or if they are likely to enjoy relatively trouble free motoring. And of course, it shows in general terms, how the seller has cared for the vehicle.

As you know, cars with a full service history fetch better prices and are easier to sell. This is all standard stuff in the auto industry - we take it for granted. But wouldn't it be good if you could build a digital history of servicing for your motorhome or caravan to show future buyers?

A Service History is Even More Important for a Motorhome or Caravan

The habitation area of motorhomes and caravans are complicated structures, with gas, water and electrical systems, built on a moving chassis and in most cases, left out in the elements all year round. It is inevitable that they incur problems. If you have ever bought a used motorhome or caravan, you will know how important service history can be. Being able to show a full service history will protect the value of your asset. Providing a buyer with transparency and confidence through a comprehensive service history has a proven impact on price and saleability.

The Habcheck Digital Database

When you have a service with Habcheck, you are of course sent a copy of the report by email. But the digital report is also stored in our database. You are building a digital service history for your motorhome or caravan which is kept centrally by us. That means, that at any time in the future you can request your full history to show buyers. Annual servicing means that not only are you catching issues early before they become expensive repairs, you are also maintaining the value of your asset and making it easier to sell when the time comes.
